From the Artist

These paintings come from my imagination, shaped by memories of tidal marshes, wide skies, and the ever-changing sea. I am less interested in depicting a specific place than in evoking the feeling of light itself—its luminous, ethereal quality, and the spiritual presence I sense in nature. Each canvas is a meditation, an attempt to express the quiet mystery of the natural world and the way it touches something deep within us.

I paint in my off-grid studio at my cabin on the pond, though the sea is never far from my mind. Having spent years sailing, raising my two sons on the water, and now once again working aboard yachts, I carry the rhythm of tide and sky within me. These works are my way of honoring that connection—offering glimpses of the beauty, stillness, and spirit that I find in the shifting dance between water and air.

Exhibition Bio

My paintings come from my imagination, inspired by memories of tidal marshes, open skies, and the sea. I’m not trying to capture an exact place, but instead the feeling of light—the way it glows, shifts, and brings out the spiritual side of nature.

I paint in my off-grid studio at my cabin on the pond. The sea has always been a big part of my life—I spent years sailing, raised my two sons on the water, and now work aboard yachts again. The rhythm of tide and sky stays with me, and I try to bring that sense of beauty, peace, and connection into every painting.
